June 2nd - postmarked 6/4/42 Tuesday a.m 9:00 a.m. Dearest: Don't let the airmail stamp surprise you; it's all I had at school so I had to use it. I got a wonderful letter from Jack (Diamond). He agrees with my opinion of you - only I am more firmly and deeply convinced of it. We are still in the middle of the Festival - tonite will see the end (if it doesn't rain) I'll be glad too. 12:30 a.m. I don't see where you ever find a minute to write a letter in the morning.
