Wednesday- July 1, [1942] Dearest: Another day without a letter from you. And, uncannily, Reb has chosen the psychological time to open up with a barrage of tender letters. There were six or seven waiting for me when I got home. I've wondered, faintly, if I could be affected if he turned on his charm full force. Now I know.
