May, 1902. Sun. 18. Fair but threatening. S.W. wind - or south. Very warm, 81° P.M. - All at M.E. church morn, to see & hear their new pipe-organ. Last nights rain was a washing flood. Mon. 19. Warm night, s.e. breeze, bright morn. Partly cloudy, & threatening, evg. Not quite so warm as yesterday. Put up sweet. pea wite, & trimmed [Deson?] Plum, evg. - No trains to-day. Tues. 20. More rain in night. Fair & hot, 83°, s.e. C. in office P.M. while I moved out cook stove, &c. - Awful down pour of rain 7 till 9:30 evg. - with 20 min. of large hail. Wed. 21. Thunderstorms all night; and this morn., s. wind. 4 in of rain-fall last night; great damage over wide extent. - A little shrine to-day, but rain again evg. Thurs. 22. Fairish morn., s. westerly breeze & cooler, tho' hot sunshine. C. in P.M. while I helping schroda build wire lawn fence. A little rain again late evg. All at our Mite soc. dinner. Fri. 23. Fair morn., after some rain in night. Partly cloudy day, with light shower P.M. - Put on ex-tension conductors and set out white clematis & tomato Plants. - 2 days mails from [Monona?] No stage from [Deevrah?] yet. Sat. 24. Bright morn., after a little warm rain in night. Threatening at [S?] W. & N.W. Rainy again evg. Hersey Pratt built screen around back porch.
