June, 1902. Taking bromide. cold E or N.E. Sun. 29. Cold morn. under 50º; struggling sun & shade A.M. - steady rain after 1 o'c all P.M. & evg. - & cold. C&C at German Church. H & I. at M.E. church. Morning Giddiness worse P.M. Mon. 30. Fairish morn cold. Turned out a fine day. tho' quite cool till mid P.M. Expected George to-morrow but a letter says he can't come - Dull at office. Mowed evg. built chicken-box. - still taking bromide. Tues. 1. July. Cloudy morn, & cold; only about 55º. Had to build fire again at office. Some sunshine P.M. - cloudy evg. - Up late morning - Awful tired. - Mr. & Mrs. Stull returned evg train. Wed. 2. Heavy rain in night. [illegible] warmer P.M. with a little hot sunshine. Threatening evg. - Not doing much but awfully tired & sleepy. Resting, evg. & set out another Walnut. Mer. 72 P.M. Thurs. 3. Another heavy rain in night, but warmer. Fairish, with indications of fair weather to-morrow. Abstracting, mostly. Fri. 4. Rather a fine day; hottest yet, but only 85º S. Wind. - Waurton celebrated, Judge C.T. Granger orated. Pretty good fire-works evg tho rather windy. - Ellison Orr & wife & Jimmie - 4 took supper with us. Sat. 5. Quite warm, 84º, & partly cloudy. Brisk S.W. breeze. Mowed evg. Feeling much better. No rain Fri or Sat.
