April, 1906. Clearing Evg. Sun. 29. Cloudy & cold. At meeting morn. only. San Francisco collection $18.87 Mon. 30. 40° & clear, & still morn. Cloudy & cool, with a few sprinkles of rain. Garden a while after supper, then at office till 9:30 - C. in A.M. & P.M. Tues. 1. May. About 44° & rainy S.E. wind forenoon Clearing Evg. N.W. - C. in P.M. only. Wed. 2. About 40° cloudy, N.W. brisk Took down stove-pipe. Planted more peas Evg. Trum Walker died this morn - - C. in A.M. only - Schroda took up grape vines & transplanted Crimson Rambler. Thurs. 3. about 42° Fair, S.W. wind. Cloudy day, mostly S.W. windy, much warmer, and first thunder shower Evg, clearing after. 107 - lbs. Charlotte house - cleaning, with the Kasser girls for help. Phone announcing Mrs. Angier's sickness. Fri. 4. 46° cloudy: damp and sprinkly. Fair P.M. but quite cold all day. Kasser girls finished house-cleaning. Charlotte went to Castalia by morning train. Dinner at Wilkinson's. Got my own supper. Sat. 5. Fair & cold: almost frosty. Cold and N.W. wind all day. But little over 50° max. Geo. Clark house burned. Card from C that Mrs. A is better. Dinner at Wilkinson's.
