June, 1906. Sun. 3. Fair & warm 78° max. At mtg. morn as usual, and at Union temperance meeting evg. at M.E. church. both of us. Mon. 4. Showery in night & early morn, and copious showers during day, very warm between 88° max. - C. in after 3:10 P.M. - Clearing evg. Baraca class met with me this Evg. but only 6 out. 106 - Tues. 5. Fair & warm, morn. Copious showers P.M. - not so warm. - C. in P.M. a while. Planted 3 1/2 doz. asters & 4 early mums from Decorah. Choir serenade Evg. Wed. 6. Cloudy morn. & very damp. Warm, & showery after 4 P.M. C. in P.M. - Ugly-looking storm in the N. 8 P.M., which later proved a destructive tornado thro' S. part Houston Co. Minn. & in Wis. - Killing several people. Thurs. 7. Showery early, then fair; and a beautiful day & cool breeze S.W. - C. in P.M. and both took supper at M.E. church. Fri. 8. Beautiful morn. S.W. breeze. and fine & cool all day. C. in a while a.m. sprayed roses evg. with Kerosene. 104 Sat. 9. Glorious morn., cool Westerly breeze. Quite cool all day. Threatening P.M. Charlotte took 7:35 train for Cedar Falls. Dinner at the Allamakee
