July, 1906. Sun. 15. Fair & fine, & much cooler. All at church morn (ours) & Evg union mtg. at M.E. with sermon by Van Mia. Geo & Rosanna here to supper & took snap-shots. Mon. 16. Bright cool morn. Rainy after-noon Geo. & R. drove to Decorah, A.M. for Fayette. Rev. Caffyn & wf. took dinner with us. Girls had company to supper; & I took supper downtown - train late & office after. Tues. 17. Fair & cool; muddy - drying. Girls drove out to breakfast at Shermans. I took super at Social Workers - Schellscmidt & Powell's. Pulling weeds Evg. Wed. 18. Glorious morning. Fair & warmer. Girls away visiting all day. Pulling weeds till 8:30 P.M., & it began raining soon after. Thurs. 19. Rainy night lots of water & very quiet about it. steady down pour. Rainy A.M.; clearing Evg. Not very well, but at work all day. Fri. 20. Bright morn. Fair & quite warm Nearly 90° max. C. in office P.M. Sat. 21. Clear, hot & damp. morn. Clear & hot day. 90° max. C. in office a.m. R.R. smash-up at the junction. Evg. train late. At office Evg. till after 10 o'c.
