March, 1918 Sun. 24 Frozen again. but very nice day, 63°, & sap running. Giddy, all night & headache not out to church. Charlotte out alone morn. Headache severe evg. Mon. 25 Scarcely frost; 63°, N. fair. [illegible] Headache all night & giddiness, wearing off. Office as usual. Tues. 26 Froze a little; N.E. wind morn Fair. East, 52° max. Office & C N. House as usual. Tapped 3 run maples - 5 now Wed. 27 24° to 42°; clear, East wine sap running again Office, mostly, as Church [afcs?] & remitting missions. Thurs. 28 27° to 54°, clear, E. to S.E. wind Mr. [Louthrop?] had a fall, called me Office as usual. Fri. 29 32° to 64° Fair, S. variable. Mr. L. had me call Dr. Swebakken. Office as usual, after burning brush till 10.30. Sat. 30 36° to 67°, fair, S.W. chopping brush &c. morning & Harriet helping. C.H. & office Pm
