Busy at church books, & evg. with Trustees till 12 o'c. Tues. 3 Fair early, then cloudy & chill. Hardly more than 60° max. Abstracting. Wed. 4 Cloudy morn, 49° N. Fair P.M. 70° Abst. A.M. - Hattie Clyde returned [heavy?] Doings evg. for another draft contgt. [illegible] to go in the morn. Thurs. 5 Fine day tho' N. breeze 43° morn; 70° max. Abstracting mostly. Mowed Evg. E. & N. Fri. 6 50° to 75°. Fair, westerly Geo. W. Robertson died 2 am. A little abstracting. Clara got off 11:30 for Char. City. Sat. 7 76°; Fair; sprinkles Gathered onions - a little abstracting
