September, 1918 Sun. 22 Fine day. 40 to 70°, S.S.W. wind. No service at our church. Called on Mr. Lathrop p.m. as usual. Mon. 23 Very fine. 50 to 76°. S. Office a.m. & evg. P.M. - Dug potatoes. mowed, etc., & set 45 + 24 strawberry plants #999. Tues. 24 Mostly fair; southerly, 70° Dug potatoes &c. At office most of time: helped getting in 1 1/2 ton Purity small egg [cord?], [38?] morn. - Set 30 more 999. evg. Wed. 25 Fair, northeasterly, 74°- 5. Dug a few potatoes in the old hen yard. Rather busy at insurance. Thurs. 26 Fair, N.E. 63° spading some morn. Insurance P.M. a while evg. Fri. 27 Fair, 43 to 74°. S.W. Dug last of potatoes. Office most of time. Sat. 28 Fair, S.W. to N.W. 70°. Picked last of [Wenltries?] with long ladder, & about garden all a.m. office P.M.
