November, 1918 Sun. 3 Austria gave up. a little headache 47° to 51° Thunder shower in night, cloudy day & wind veering to N.W. Meeting of advisory council at Sherman's [aru?], to [preserve?] Christian [Enrichment?] week. Mon. 4 33 to 52°. - Fair. S.E. Cleaned some troughs morning. Office balance of day. Tues. 5 43 to 60° S. mostly fair. Trimmed grapes morn.,& gathered turnips. - Election Wed.6 52 to 66° S. wind. A little sunshine. Garden &c till 10. Office there after. Thurs. 7 57°; 57°; cloudy. s. showery. Rain evg. Took off screens and shucked walnuts ([12?] peck only) morn. (premature) News about 1st of Germany' surrender, & impromptu celebration. Fri. 8 42°; 47°; fair, westerly. Covered grape-vines morn. Sat. 9 35°; 39°; cloudy, N.W. - snow squalls covered roses morn, & part strawberries. Wt 99 1/2 + 3 1/4 +1/2 = 103 1/4
