November, 1918 Sun. 24 14° to 32° Fair, W.N.W. Mon. 25 20° to 38°; NW to SW. Most of time at getting church circular letters type-written for laymen's campaign. Harriet copying P.M. - Tues. 26 21° to 40°; clear S.W. dusty. Helping H. get out the typewritten letters for church at 125. Evg. till 9:20. Got 2 bu. Potatoes of Max Schullscmidt. Wed. 27 19° to 42° clear. South wind. Snow began suddenly, 10:30 evg. Finished Laymen's letter about 2:30 - then insurance work. Thurs. 28 31° N.W. & 6 in. snow. 32° snowed till most dark should think 10 in. now on. sleighing begins. - Quiet and happy. Downtown only 3 to 5 o'c. "Shank-steak", & Pumpkin Pie, to celebrate & thankful for that. - Oysters for supper at 50c. pint. Fri. 29 17° to 30° N.W. clear Office 9:30 to 6. John M Collins died, 4 p.m. no.
