January, SATURDAY, 16, 1864. a,r,o, at day light, fed, hauled fodder from Louisville Uncle Went to Newark got tobaco for me, first I ever bought, a warm day thawed a good eal, ret about 1/2 past 8, [making?] in [?] SUNDAY, 17. arose at day light fed, started home at 10 got home about 12. took dinner at Mrs Rabbs. John doing well. we got letters from Frank & Hiram granma is at our house, started back at dark plesant day thawing ret about 9 MONDAY, 18. a&'r&'s day light fed, raining & snowing Uncle Went to Louisville I cleaned stable we hauled hay from round hay stacks & fodder Uncle took folks to Henry Countys in evening. fed it is still raining ret 1/2 past 8
