May, TUESDAY, 24, 1864. aros at six stood guard 2 hours went to slatter house relieved about 1/2 past 8 went to camp wrote to Faney Salby, & mailed letter home a warm day read a little rain after midle P.M. & heard at night WEDNESDAY, 25. called up and in battle line about 5, mailed letter to Faney; read some, on picket south east of town at 3. a warm A.M. cloudy P.M. thought on the reblion while on beat from 1/2 - 5 - 1/2 - 7 rain little eve. picket double to night THURSDAY, 26. up about 6 stood guard 2 hours eat B. read & slept, an at 2 P.M. a little rain this morn. cloudy day relieved about 1/2 past 3 or 4. Slept with accutermants all on gun by my side. John Hank delirious.
