July, FRIDAY, 29, 1864. up at Roll Call on fatigue duty went to see 100[w?] gun. took a view of the Ferry &C from peak above the town. built stone defences after noon. Warm, 12th..boys pass back by the ferry SATURDAY, 30. up at roll call on fatigue duty till 1/2 past 9, went down east side mountain. Washed Shirt. got apples & berries back at dusk, warm day no news of importance. SUNDAY, 31. read Bible. lay bout tent. nothing going on very warm. draw rashons at eve. Warm
