August, THURSDAY, 4, 1864. on guard at spring some excitement about Johneys. Reg taken down the mountain. came back at eve. got letter from lizzy wilson. folks, sold, Warm, FRIDAY, 5. up 1/2 past 4 eat B, went to spring, relieved at 8 Cleaned gun. inspection all went off right, done but little after noon warm. rain at night SATURDAY, 6. raining this morn up at roll call. do but little to day. wash shirt after noon. troops moveing to this point Rebs reported at Charleston 12th.. back this eve J, Kilbraith here. plesant
