August, TUESDAY, 16, 1864. up at R.C, went down east of mountain got apples &c, Cloudy, drew, 5 days rations, after noon plesant WEDNESDAY, 17. layed round read. &c nothing going on of importance. plesant. rain at eve & night THURSDAY, 18. on guard at first reserv post. I read whittled &c. read the unknowers. quite interesting rain morn cloudy day boys got back to day from [duffield?]
