[Postmarked Sept 19, 1942] Saturday a.m. My Dearest, I am writing this in the midst of a most delightful rain storm. I know you'd love it. No thunder or lightning, but a steady wind and the beat of raindrops marching across the window-pane. You know, when we build we must leave one room without ceiling insulation so that we can hear the rain on the roof. As you can see by the enclosures I have finished L.N. #88,89,90 and 92. In fact, I just finished them and they'll go in today's mail. I have a couple of articles half done; if I get time I'll finish them soon. I spend a few minutes before going to bed ...reading -1-
