[postmarked Nov 21, 1942] Dearest: I had a nice long letter which I wrote this morning... but its still on my desk in Wyandotte. In the rush of getting down here with Dad I left it lying (or is it laying) there. Great Scott! Look what the leaky pen did. Guess I'll have to get a new one.
