rail road get here, business will brighten up, if it dont do any better in the spring than it has been being since I have been here, Sparta is bound to go down. We have just had a bitter cold spell of weather, 13° below zero. There is appearances of a wet spell now, we have had first rate sleighing for a week but the horses all have the Epizooh. Julia is not any better. she felt some better yesterday but it is only by spells. Father Clendenin is at work regularly. has felt tolerably well this winter so far. I suppose you have had some very cold weather this winter Have you lost any of your horses with the epizootic? it has not been fatal here. I dont know of a horse dying around this country, but in St Louis it has been very fatal. I must close. Love to all Write soon. And if you can send me any more mony I should like to have it for we are needing it very badly. J. A. M.
