fell at Murphabough along with a great many more. Hannah McDill Thomas was taken prisoner at the same Battle and is now at Anappolis Maryland a paroled prisoner along with some more. Harry and Henry Clay are in the 80th Regt. Ill vollentures at the same place. Hattie got a letter from Wm. Chambers last Saturday and says that Father had been quite unwell was considerable bloated but was a little better he thinks he won't last long he is now in his 80 year and by the course of nature he can't last long. I would like to see him once more if I could I believe I have nothing more give my love to Martha Ann and children. I remain your Brother David A. McDill write soon
