After good nights rest quite as well again self, tho' more nervous than sometimes spending day much as usual, but mostly in chamber, enjoyed good letter from Ellery. Ther. Wednesday 18 Wea. Quite cold, but calm & pleasant. Our folks all appear as well & Geo_ & Rosa_ up & at washing in good season, & she had it well out of way A.M. & was I think at hall to help some in preparations for cong_ donation supper, spending most eve there also, as George did part. Less nervous self & quite as well again, so pleasant & comfortable in chamber P.M. improved time to write Ellery
