Saving...
Wednesday, May 16, 1888 Most mild & pleasant yet. Our folks quite as well & on hand in good season Rosa having washing well out way in A.M. not out at all, but think Mrs Post was here part of eve. None boats & rafts passing today. As well self & of course spending day much same, almost certain Ellery would be here this P.M. but not, which was disappointment to all. I was up on bluff about sun set for half hour. Thursday 17 Mild still, but cloudy all day, with few sprinkles. About same with our folks, & of course busy at usual duties. Clyde at school, Leonard about over with mumps. As well self, tho' rather discouraged about Bro- Ellery's coming, but saw him come rom Ferry when it reached the pier about 5 o,c, P.M. being here to take supper with us, & spend most of eve, as was Geo- also, which I almost enjoyed.
