Thursday, Aug 16, 1888 Learn of more damage from lightening in night, of which was quite a little, cleaning up quite pleasant P.M. Much same with Ellery & self, & spending day much same as for past week only that we took supper in at Mrs Brayton's with Mr & Mrs Wedgwood. Ellery rec'd postal from Charlotte telling of arrival of daughter at sister Millie's last Saturday. Friday 17 Warmer, & quite pleasant day, tho' rather cool morn. Hope Ellery is feeling rather better again, had breakfast in good season, & after usual chores he was at place of business, home to go to Father W-'s to take other two meals, with me, & where I stopped awhile after dinner, but spending most of time at home. DeEtta DuBois in to sit awhile with me. Well as usual self, Ellery rec'd letter from Ch- written before postal rec'd yesterday
