Sunday, Oct. 7, 1888 Less cool morn, & Mercury 76° P.M. & one of pleasantest days. Our folks about as usual, & all at service A.M. & s-school as usual. El- at a meeting P.M. & Ch- out again in eve. About as usual self & spending day much same with plenty rest & reading. Our awhile P.M. with others over at new house which is nearly ready for use. Monday 8 Very pleasant still, but cooler Mercury 67° P.M. Much same with our folks, & Ellery out of store considerable, & with Charlotte at work over at new house preparatory to moving soon. Taking meals at home as usual. As well self, & with usual chores & some more mending carpet busy most of time. Mrs Augustine Hensey who was visiting Mrs Brayton in to sit with me awhile P.M.
