Saturday, Oct. 13, 1888 Some less cool, & quite pleasant but breezey. About as usual with our folks, think. & occupied much as for past day or two, Ellery having help at store more of time on Saturday's giving him more time for removing & care of vegetables. As well self, & with usual chores spending day much the same being over at Mrs Braytons P.M. to bring over picture &c for my room. Enjoyed visit from girls in A.M. Sunday 14 Hardly as cool, but as windy & about as pleasant most of day. Our folks appear as well but only Ellery at service A.M. The little girls going to meet him at s-school. Charlotte out in evening at service, but think found none at Baptist church. After another good nights rest quite as well self, & of course spending day much as usual with plenty rest & reading, & altogether in chamber.
