Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1888 Not as cold tho' only 50° P.M. but quite mild & pleasant. Being the great "Election day" Ellery was busy at hall most of time, & not home till late for supper, & out most of night. Others appear about as usual (tho' know Karrie has bad cold) & guess spending day much same, girls improving pleasant time for outdoor exercise. Quite as well self & with usual chores, busy at more "repairing", & some knitting. Wednesday 7 Temperature about same, & as pleasant except for strong wind from south. Much same with others tho' some later than usual, & we had breakfast before Ellery who took quite a nap, spending day much as usual guess, & home quite as early in eve, reporting "Presidential election" quite promising, & for state, but our County strongly democratic but gaining. As well self, at usual chores & finished first undervest, with odd job of knitting experiments.
