January 11 Lovely day, Mer 13°+ at sunrise & rose to 27°+ in PM & no wind. Being Saturday, of course, had extra work to do & I helped Leona in AM, That she might iron in PM. I rested & was mending most of time except an hour or so was in to see Mrs. [Dowe?] for first time this year. Ellery came home about sick at noon but back to office after a nap & spent eve out also. January 12 Another bright day, Mer 8°+ at 8 O.C. but rose as high as yesterday. Feeling [illegible] well self & Ellery much better than yesterday so were out to Baptist church in morn but spent evening at home. I was over at [Geo's] of errand in the PM & wrote Aunt Lizzie. [We?] finishing in eve.
