Saving...
January 17 I was over to Rose's in PM but she was going to Mrs. D. W. [name?] to tea. Weather about the same, Tho' mer rose to 25°+ about noon but growing colder all PM. Feeling rather weak self, & lonely still kept busy at little jobs about house most of Am picking up for & cleaning up after Leona's sweeping of S room & chambers in PM. at work planning & cutting arm covers & [illegible] for big [illegible] chair from some plaid tablecover cloth El- just got for me. January 18 Clear & bright & colder again Mer only 3°+ at sunrise & only rose to 9°+ during day & down to 3°+ at sunset. Of course I found something to take up my time & attention Tho not having to help in the kitchen this sat-sunday. Rose was in awhile in PM with work & she & George spent evening with us, Ellery in early (about 9 o.c.) & we enjoyed it much.
