February 14 Friday Warm & bright, but mer [illegible] 14° at 8 o.c. AM rose to 4°+, and stood at zero at sunset, not as windy as yesterday, tho' somewhat breezy. Seems lonely without Estelle, but I kept bust at little jobs as usual, my cold leaving last as could expect, I spent couple hours over at Rose's last of P.M. Jena our awhile, but with me in eve, at which I slept reaching till El came home at 9 o.c. February 15 Very pleasant, no sunset, mer only 4* at 8 o.c. & rose to 26°+ standing 20°+ at sunset, Of course had at noon thoro swept & cleaning up, & putting to [illegible] with usual chores kept me busy most of AM "at home" all P.M. busy at repairing & Jena spent eve with me, Ellery out to another card party. Geo & Rose in a way from chair meeting.
