February 18 Thursday Not as cold, mer 15°+ at 11 o.c. rose to 36°+ & standing 26°+ at sunset, cloudy in morn, snow falling slowly last of AM & all PM & snowing [illegible] when we [illegible] Rose & [Lance?] from meeting in eve, Geo & Rose stopped with [illegible] till Lena came in about 9 o.c. talking about "Christianity." Ellery out to [illegible] "card party" (Dr. Matthews) I spent all time I could thro fday fixing sheet & for E to [illegible] to Marty Thompson. February 19 [illegible] pleasant, high wind which kept us filled with snow most of time, mer 12°+ at 7 1/2 o.c. rose to 28°+ I kept busy at little jobs not "amounting to much" as usual, Rose in short time in PM I concluded not to go with them to church in eve, snow being rather deep & still quite breezy.
