February 26 Wednesday Windy & air still filled with snow in morn, but cleared up & grew no warmer, during AM, mer 8° at 7 1/2 o.c. only rose to 4° & down to 6° at sunset, being coldest day this month. so cold didn't us to do any extra work, but let little jobs with keeping fires & keeping warm take [illegible] time, Lena out late last night & seems rather "blue" today, not much to be done February 27 Colder yet ing morning, mer 14° at 7 1/2 o.c. but rose to 16+ clouded over in AM, wind of E with some snow in air most of PM & eve. I met with Mrs Leone to see Mary Stone (in PM) & from there down town of errands, Lena out also. I was in to see Mrs H in AM had slight faint there, into Rose about going to Mrs E [illegible] Society but she [illegible] sick with cold, we didn't go. I spent eve with her, Lena out.
