March 15 Saturday Cloudy, with N-W- wind. Mer 4+ at 7 o,c, & rose to 16+ at noon, remaining there most of P.M. & standing 12+ at 7 o,c, P.M. All about same with us, Lena swept some in chamber & swept L-room thoro'ly for all of which I made preparation, & put to rights afterward, Lena out couple hours in P.M. most of which I spent with Rose. Ellery in early in eve. Lena had company. March 16 Cloudy & not quite as cold. Mer 9+ at 7 1/2 o,c, 19+ at noon, & rose to 22 in P.M. but only 14+ at sunset. I had rather a hard faint spell after breakfast, so didn't go out to church. Ellery attended Baptist in A.M. at home with me in eve. Lena out in eve, tho' home all through the day. I commenced letter to Charlotte in P.M. finished in eve.
