March 21 Friday Bright & pleasant again. Mer 22+ at 7 o, c, & rising to 40+ at noon. Clouded over & snow commenced to fall last of PM & all evening. Mer 32+ at 6 o, c, spent the day as usual, busy at little jobs most of the time. Not going out all today. Lena & I alone first of eve. Ellery home after drill, 8 1/2 o,c, March 22 Some snow falling still this morn & Mer 25+ at 7 o.c. & rose to 45+ at noon growing cooler in PM Tho' Mer stood 30+ at 6 o.c. Of course I had clearing out & "putting to rights" to do in sitting room (Lena doing the sweeping) in P.M. I finished job or two of repairing, in to see Rose little while before tea. Also in eve awhile when Lena was out & E- out for rest of "the day" expect
