March 31 Monday All well & up earlier than common. I had part of chores done up & something towards dinner when Lena came at last. After which I went over to inform Rose of the fact & other errands, after doing up chamber work I wrote another 1/2 sheet to Charlotte & Ellery forgetting to take it to office, I went over to G_'s again to get him to do so Lena & I spent eve alone. April 1 Pleasant, & cooler. Mer only 26°+ at 7 o,c, AM & only rising to 34°+. Quite a relief having Lena here again this AM but of course I kept busy at little jobs & cleaning up before & after her sweeping chambers & sitting room. Over to Rose's of errand in AM & spent PM & eve there with Edith (illegible), Lizzie, Estelle & May Levant, Mrs S_ & (illegible) & Ellery to tea & eve.
