April 8 Tuesday Pleasant still, fortunately for us, as the same friends who visited Rose a week ago today spent the PM with me, (excepting Edith) George and Mr. [illegible] here to tea (Jim R down to Gene's with Edith) & spend most of eve tho' Stewart & Ellery has to be at business first of it. Had very pleasant visit & hope others enjoyed it as well enjoying it very much April 9 Raining eve enjoying it [illegible] mer 32+° at 7 o.c. again this morning but cloudy still after hard rain last night, Estelle stayed with me over night & George come in & invited her there to dinner. She with Rose calling for me to go in to May Stewarts where we spent PM with same company, & Edith also Miss Kellogg same there also (except Jim Pratt) & part of eve
