April 24 Thursday Very like "April" "sunshine & showers" alternately tho' more rain than sunshine in PM All as usual with us, but being unpleasant couldn't be "cleaning house," but kept busy most of time at little jobs here & there, Lena finished most of ironing but her mother, two sisters & a brother, all here awhile & she was out with them part of PM April 25 Being one of our pleasantest days Lena & I set about cleaning Ellery's chamber, had every thing out & room cleaned in AM, ready for him to help clean carpet when he came to dinner & I helped Lena put the carpet down, & got things back in place again in PM & tho tired some, I went with Ellery to see "Lost in London" out till 12 o,c.
