I was in to see George before he went to work AM April 30 Wednesday Another bright pleasant day not as windy, Mer only 58°+ at noon, but stood 63°+ at 4 o.c. PM Ellery & I have made up minds to have nothing but whitewashing done, but find can't have that for number of days, so after I had been down to carry material for black skirt, to Mrs. Spaulding helped Lena clear out entry closet which she cleaned also entry & stairs in AM & in PM helped me clean b-room closet then cleaned S-room cupboard alone. May 1 A lovely day, not quite as cool. Mer 66°+ at noon, & stood 70°+ at 2 o.c. PM. All well with us, Lena at small wash, I did up chores after breakfast, & she finished washing so as to move things from kitchen, & sweep down over head & walls in AM. I helped about dinner, she did up chores & cleaned up s-pipe before washing floor. I went (alone) to B_ J society meeting & Mrs (Wither?) there
