May 22 Thursday Cloudy & cooler, with little sprinkle of rain in A.M. but soon very dusty again, all about as usual with us, of course I was over to see Rose in A.M. of errand & again with work to sit awhile in P.M. while Lena was out "shopping" spent A.M. at odd jobs & doing mending. I went with Rose to take supper at M- E- Nite society & with Ellery spent part of eve at Geo's. May 23 Clear & bright & cooler this morning, but Mer stood 78°+ at noon, & rose to 82°+ in P.M. Quite strong breeze fro S-E- all day. Ellery out feeling very smart, but stopped in morn - & put on screen doors & couple windows, Lena's sister Anna came in A.M. spending day. I spent most of A.M. looking up & putting away winter (waffins?) & furs for the season, over to Rose's in P.M. Laura C-
