June 17 Tuesday Another bright day, not quite as cool, Mer 72°+ at noon & rose to 75°+. Estelle stayed with me last night, which enjoyed much, didn't have very early breakfast, & she was off soon after for "Aunt Ann's" where she is making it her home mostly - now, helping her aunt. I was over to Rose's of errand in A.M. in P.M. was in to see Mrs Howe for few minutes been home few minutes when Rose came in to sit awhile bad cold still. June 18 Still pleasant, & little warmer Mer 78°+ at 12 1/2 o,c. Day not passing exactly "as usual". Estelle with me again last night, & off in good season this morning. I was over to Rose' twice in A.M. & once (of errands) in P.M. Anna at ironing & cooking all A.M. We took lunch before noon, expecting Ellery on one fifty train. he came we had late dinner. After which made 3 pts strawberry preserves. Callers after tea
