Maz Stewart called to return (?) June 27 Friday Not as pleasant, hard shower came up in A.M. great deal of lightening with heavy thunder. A man was thrown from a load of wood. The team running down through town. I was busy about house all A.M. picking up & putting to rights after big sweeping, feeling tired & rather gloomy self but Estelle came & bro't her work & we spent eve reading she stopping over night with me Had first raspberries June 28 More pleasant & cooler, I went with Estelle down town - Then in to Mrs Spauldings, home in time to clean up & put to rights for sweeping the sitting room in A.M. feeling quite tired Took a nap in P.M. before cleaning up Rose home this P.M. tho' havn't seen her yet, being alone & seeing was alone in (?) I went town stayed an hour or more, had nice ice cream.
