July 1 Tuesday Pleasant & still warm tho' have cool nights & mornings. Washing day, I had chores to do & currants to pick for dinner, which with other chores kept me busy all A.M. Little "Mary Mc-Cabe", in last of A.M. stopped to dinner & awhile after, I entertained her best could, & went in to see Rose for an hour or more with work, going up to Mrs Goods Koontze after tea of errand, I stayed alone.
