Charlotte in awhile in P.M. Tuesday August 26 After rain early in morning cloudy most of day, The sun peeking through now & then, but cleared up in P.M. Being washing day I had little to do in kitchen but had slight faint, after breakfast so Lena cleaned up dishes & all, but I kept busy at little jobs & mending, most of day, over to Rose's couple times guess, attended the entertainment at Beemon hall given by Teachers of Institute out till eleven o,c, Millie W_ called for & came home with me, with friend, August 27 Pleasant, only so very warm, I spent part of A.M. writing & finishing up letter to Aunt A_ R_ over Rose's awhile, after picking & cleaning up in P.M. I spent couple hours in at "Maz", Lena out with her sister Mary most of P.M. also out of errand in eve, & I spent most of eve with Rose.
