Maz Stewart in of errand Wednesday September 3 Bright & clear most of day, Mer not rising above 80°+ & quite breezy. Not up very early this morning, after beakfast Millie & I spent most of time "out-doors" looking up & eating fruit, (such as plums & grapes) till she left me again, Of course I was in to see Mrs Howe, she is making ketchup I spent some time looking over old diaries & receipe's Mrs Howe in here awhile in P.M. I did mending in P.M. September 4 Weather remains same, only cooler, Mer only reaching 72°+, all passing as usual, only Lena picked grapes (Hartford prolific) & prepared for canning, couple qt jars, 1 cup water to cook pulps & two cups sugar to a qt after the skins were in a jar. Lena finished ironing also in A.M. I spent in P.M. with Rose down town (?)
