but Ellery home early to-night Thursday September 25 Frost again this morn, but not enough to hurt grapes guess, what few are left. Not feeling first best tho' had good nights rest. I kept Rocking chair most of A.M. up late this morning, Ellery out late to the dance last night, bro't oysters so we had some fried for breakfast rest in broth for dinner, Lena down town P.M. Anna in to sit with me, May S_ in awhile in eve, September 26 Very pleasant & warmer, tho' quite breezy, Feeling better self today, tho' not very (furious?) for work, but busy at something most of time, wrote note to Charlotte in A.M. & went over to see Rose, & send it to office, alone part P.M., Lena out awhile, also short time in eve, but home with me most of time, I spent eve repairing, E_ out to party
