Saving...
Saturday September 27 Warmest day for some time, Mer reaching 80°+, sun shining thro' haze most of time, I kept busy at little jobs, & cleaning up s_room, (before & after sweeping) in A.M. resting some in P.M. but went down town with Mrs Howe last of P.M. from there up to Mr Bedman new store "W_Waukom". After tea went in to sit awhile with Rose, Lena out awhile, E_ out of course. September 28 Unpleasant tho' warm, hard rain last of P.M. & tho' eve. Lena off "to church" soon as had her breakfast, expecting to be home to night, but expect the rain this eve will prevent, Anna over to see if she could help any, again to stay over night, Ellery being about sick. The day has seemed long & gloomy. (rest of page illegible)
