Mrs Granger called Wednesday October 29 Sunshine & cloudes alternate. Mer 40°+ at 7 o,c, A.M., but not rising much, only 8°+ or 9°+. We set about cleaning bed-room & had all done & carpet down by middle P.M. After which L_ cleaned windows & wood-work in S-room. I kept busy here & there, & putting to rights, most of day, Lena wanting to be out in eve I spent the time with Rose, & Geo_ in early. North wind October 30 Clear & bright but Mer- not above 40°+ Had small wash done in A.M. I did up work after breakfast, & helped Lena put down sitting room carpet - & clear out the cupboard, & getting part of furniture back in place, in P.M. in to Mrs Howe's of errand, Charlotte & Edith W_ called before I had cleaned up & I was in to Rose's & found them again, Lena spent eve with me.
