Clara O do not for a moment believe or think that I would deceive you, or that I am not in earnest, or that I have not studied the Consequences, or that I am playing the part of the wiley sycophant, do not for it would wound my heart a new. I Could not stand it. O if I could but soar above the blazing sun & find admitance into the home of the Son that was sacrificed, quick would I fly with all the Celerity of thought & present my poor self at his feet & ask him in behalf of heaven & my eternal happiness & yours, to let his spirit descend & plead my Cause at the Court of your heart, for I know that he would,
