Keosauqua Iowa April 5/58 My Dear Friend It is with feelings such as I never experienced I write to you, this evening. Your letter made me realize fully the important step I had taken, & I almost fear you will not realize as much happiness as you now think you will. I have felt so sensibly the utter inability of all earthly things to give entire happiness, that I fear for many who expect much. O how much I have to say to you when I see you. I cannot write much for Mrs Bussy, Mrs Kaiser & Mrs Roland are here & they watch every thing I say & do. Mrs Roland is looking
