Saving...
of school. Had you not better rest a while? I called in yesterday evening to Kiser & Bussey&'s store & looked at your silk dress pattern. I think it is very nice. You will not think me impudent will you? I just did it for mischief. Kiser had been twitting me of it, & concluded I would see it. I told him you would not care. You asked me to forgive you for not writing twice last week. Of course I do, freely, & had before you asked me to. Will you please excuse me for not writing more, for I am really sick, but not dangerously so. Yours with feelings of greatest respect & love, J.B. Weaver. You say your confidence in me is implicit. Well I can say that I have ever had the most unshaken confidence in you as a true woman, and since you have professed to love me, I have believed evry word which you have spoken to me on that subject. Well, that makes my confidence in you complete, does it not? Well let us ever try & see which of us can get the most kind towards the other. I feel better now! God love you, Jim.
